PLAYER BIO Theoren Fleury was drafted in the 8th round, of the 1987 NHL Draft, 166th overall by the Flames. His NHL career spanned between 1989 and 2003, resulting in over 1000 games played with the Calgary Flames, Colorado Avalanche, New York Rangers and Chicago Blackhawks. Fleury joined the Flames in January 1989, recording 34 points in his rookie season to help the Flames win the Stanley Cup. The next season he joined the team full-time, but really made his mark with a 51 goal, 104 point season in 1990-91 to lead the team offensively, a role he would become accustomed to over the next several years. He finished his Flames career second all-time in scoring with 830 points (364 G, 466 A), making six All-Star Game appearances in the process.
PERSONAL BIO Fleury continues to be very active in the Calgary community, volunteering with numerous charities and organizations. Theo Fleury’s Men of Hope annual charity golf tournament with the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada has raised over $1 million.
