‘Tis the season!

The Calgary Flames Alumni will be hosting their annual Toy Drive again this holiday season.

The Alumni will be collecting new, unwrapped toys or gift cards at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Thursday, December 16 from 4-8pm. The alumni will be hosting a drive-thru, and the loop at the Saddledome will be decorated with lights, Christmas decorations, music and fire pits.

Fans can interact with alumni and get autographs. Alumni expected to participate include Lanny McDonald, Curtis Glencross, Colin Patterson, Jamie Macoun, Rhett Warrener, Joel Otto and Tim Hunter.

The Alumni and Calgary Police Foundation will be putting together hampers for eight families handpicked as high need. They will be delivering the toys and hampers on Christmas Eve morning with the Calgary Police Service.

Toys will also be delivered to WINS (Women In Need Society) and the Children’s Hospital.

Fans are also welcome to drop off toys at the Saddledome reception desk Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm.

The Calgary Flames Alumni, founded in 1993, is one of the oldest chapters in professional hockey. They are here to help those in need and have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities in southern Alberta. Their mandate is to make a quality contribution on a broad scale to Calgary and the community of southern Alberta.
