The Calgary Flames Alumni Association is excited to announce the launch of the fifth annual Calgary Flames Alumni Hockey School presented by OPA! Of Greece. Youth who register will receive over 6 hours of on-ice instruction from Flames Alumni members including Matt Stajan, Colin Patterson, Cory Sarich, Troy Brouwer, Curtis Glencross and others.
“Every summer we look forward to hosting the Calgary Flames Alumni Hockey School. It is always great for our Flames Alumni to hit the ice and connect with the young aspiring hockey players in our community,” said Matt Stajan, Alumni Hockey School Co-Chair. “Being able to share their passion for hockey and teach skills they have learned throughout their career, makes this program a unique way to raise some funds for various charities around the city.”
The Flames Alumni Hockey School is for players of all levels with an emphasis on fun and skill development. The week-long camp will run for two different sessions, August 5-9 and August 12-16. We have an exciting new venue this year with both weeks of the camp taking place at Winsport, a world class facility located at Canada Olympic Park. The camp is open to youth aged 7-12. Each day will include a 75-minute ice time followed by an autograph session with the alumni instructors.
