Q&A – COLIN PATTERSON

Q: What was your favourite memory while playing for the Flames?

A: I’ve got three: My first game on Oct. 23, 1983 against the Chicago Blackhawks; my first goal vs. the St. Louis Blues on Oct. 26, 1983; and, of course, winning the Cup in 1989.

Q: Who was your favourite teammate and why?

A: Too many to name.

Q: Where did you settle down when you retired from hockey?

A: Right here in Calgary.

Q: What did you do after you hung up your skates?

A: Worked in various industries from computers, financial, communications and now energy services.

Q: What are your interests and passions outside the game?

A: I like to BBQ, read, play golf, and help out in the community with various charitable causes.

Q: Tell us a bit about your family.

A: I’ve been married to my wife Sherrie for 32 years. We have two daughters, Stephanie and Michelle, and one son, Derek.
