CALGARY FLAMES ALUMNI LAUNCH ANNUAL HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE

The Calgary Flames Alumni in partnership with TELUS will be kicking off their annual toy drive beginning the week of December 12th-16th at the Telus Sky building culminating with the Alumni in attendance at the Flames game versus St. Louis on December 16th. Alumni will be on hand to greet fans, collect donations, and sign autographs.

From the donations, holiday hampers will be created and delivered to families in need by members of the Calgary Flames Alumni and the Calgary Police Service (CPS) on the morning of December 24th. Toys will also be donated to the Women in Need Society and Woods Homes.

Donations can be dropped of December 12th -16th at the Telus Sky building located at 685 Centre Street South. On December 15th from 11:30am-1:30pm Joel Otto, Colin Patterson and Mason Raymond will be onsite to collect donations, thank donors and sign autographs.

Donations can also be dropped off at Oxford Property buildings located at

  • Eau Claire Tower, 600 – 3 Ave SW
  • Centennial Place 520 – 3 Ave SW
  • Devon Tower, 400 – 3 Ave SW

All donations will then be wrapped and sorted into hampers to help make this Christmas a special one for deserving families in the city. This year in particular the Alumni are looking to collect grocery store gift cards as well to help the families facing food insecurities.

In collaboration with the Calgary Police Youth Foundation, 20 families were selected by CPS Community Services Section and Youth Services Section. These sections manage child and youth programs designed to understand, prevent, and reduce crime as we recognise community safety is important to all of us.

The Calgary Flames Foundation Night of Giving, presented by TELUS coincides with the final collection day of the Toy Drive as fans can donate upon entry to the Flames versus St. Louis Blues game on December 16th. This game will feature awareness about Calgary Flames Foundation initiatives and programs, while thanking fans and donors for their support, and highlighting recent beneficiaries.

The Calgary Flames Alumni, founded in 1993, is one of the oldest chapters in professional hockey. They are here to help those in need and have raised over $4,000,000 for charities in southern Alberta. Their mandate is to make a quality contribution on a broad scale to Calgary and the community of southern Alberta.
